Handing over of the GGP project titled ‘The Project for the provision of medical equipment and a medical van for the early detection of cervical cancer in women in far flung areas of Bhutan’ under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme, was held on October 26, 2022, at Thimphu, Bhutan.

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Ms. HOKUGO Kyoko, Minister (Economic and Development) and delegates from Embassy of Japan. The Board members of BCS, representatives from Government agencies, our partners and colleagues from various CSOs also attended the ceremony.

The EoJ Representatives handed over to BCS, one Toyota Hilux and equipment worth USD 86,712/- equivalent to Nu 6,627,985.65/-

The items included 1 portable ultrasound, 1 colposcopy, 1 thermo-coagulation, 2 Height and weight machine and 3 head lights.

We would also like to thank Gross National Happiness Commission and Ministry of Foregin Affairs Bhutan for their professional support as well as facilitating the project.
